22nd December 2024 Kala & Beena
Hello, guys. When I saw this painting by Kala, I was struck by how the tree resembled Van Gogh’s painting. The tree is old, with knarled and twisted branches, laden with golden brown leaves. Kala used long brush strokes that resemble Van Gogh’s painting style. This resemblance sparked my interest, and I’d love to hear your thoughts.
The interplay of contrasting colours in Kala’s painting is truly a sight to behold. The blue river in the background, set against the warm orange-yellow leaves, creates a striking harmony. In contrast with the green foreground, the reddish-brown leaves add a delightful balance to the composition.
The colour wheel teaches us to use contrasting colours to make our art look fresh. Kala has captured that excellently with this painting. The contrasting colours of the blue river in the background with the orange-yellow leaves and the reddish-brown leaves with the green foreground create a vibrant and dynamic composition. I’m curious to know how you interpret this use of contrasting colours.
