Casper the Friendly Ghost

4th January 2025 Cheng Hwai Jen & Beena

Hello everyone. Did you guys watch Casper the Friendly Ghost when you were young? Jen is now into digital art with veracity, dishing out a new painting daily. I am unable to keep up with her. However, I sought her permission before I posted her art on this website. I reached out to her and explained my intention to share her art with my audience, and she graciously agreed.

I loved Casper. I could relate to him so much because he was always friendly. Casper was initially published in a comic book in August 1949. Later, in 1959, he starred in many television series. Every evening, I was allowed to watch cartoon shows on TV. I loved Casper the most because he always meant well🤩🤩. However, I didn’t like Tweety Bird and that stupid cat. The constant tension and the fear that the cat would kill the bird made me uncomfortable. Maybe, I never could handle stress at that young age😢😢.

Anyway, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Jen for allowing me to write about her beautiful art of Casper, the friendly ghost🫠🫠. Your generosity is truly appreciated.

  1. Beena no need to thank me for the Casper digital art. I was a fan of Casper the friendly ghost too. Our childhood was brightened by these western imports, don’t you agree.

    1. Hi Jen

Those days we were happy with what we received. It didn’t matter where they came from as we lived in the moment as long as we are happy. In fact that’s what I try to practise now. Live in the moment.
