5th January 2024 Beena
Hello, everyone; today is the first Friday of the year. I painted this Blue tufted titmouse as I found the expression intriguing. I was getting desperate as I had no painting for this Fridayπ¨. Then I came across this picture and decided to paint this beautiful little bird in watercolour.
I was amazed by the wonderful comments about this painting. Titmouse birds are curious by nature. They are small, about five to 6 inches, and primarily vegetarian. Their population has reached nearly eight million. But I think it’s good as they are small and make a lovely flute-like sound,” peter, peter, peter”,π€£π€£π€£. It is better than the noise pollution that we have now.
About curiosity, I have friends who are curious about everything. Sometimes it can be too intrusive. Once, I was at a dinner with a friend. There were others, too. However, one person asked my friend too many nosy questions. Later, she remarked that the dinner was uncomfortableππ. On the other hand, it is good to be curious. Otherwise, it would seem like nothing mattersππ.
One of my friends always says his wife is “sourcing” (meaning nosy in a nice way). It is a local way to say one is nosy or kay poh. Being kay poh is disparagingβΉ; hence, we use the word sourcing as it sounds better. We all laugh whenever he remarks about her unauthenticated informationππ.
Some comments about this bird’s curiosity were: curiosity makes one happy, the bird is curious about what I was painting, the bird must have a brain to be interested or why I look different from the bird. On the last one, I often had that experience from humans, not birdsπ€£π€£.
Nevertheless, I had a great time reading the comments. Whatever the weekend may be, be curious about your surroundings without being nosyπ€π€.
