Place of Hope

Wow, wow, wow. There were many guesses and interpretations of the art I posted today๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿฝ. I had been painting a lot for the past three weeks, so I decided to paint something abstract.

ย

I began by drawing squares and triangles. Then, I added semicircles, which started to look like a row of houses. So, I added that trail and began colouring. When I added the windows and doors, it kind of looked empty, so I used ink to add people and my little girls running around. Finally, I added the trees with no leaves, creating a wintry look. Gosh, there is nothing abstract about this piece๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”.

ย

But I was amazed by the interpretations. Ric thought this was a quiet but lively and serene place. Eunice thought it was Bergen in Norway, Nigel thought it was in Lundu, Sarawak, and Jen thought it was Alberobello in Italy. Many thought it was a place in Europe, but it was purely my imagination. However, Muru thought it was some kid’s imaginary world. What do you think? I’d love to hear your interpretations, too!

ย

I believe we all have a part of us that is very childlike. We all cherish calm environments. Perhaps, in these turbulent times, I chose to paint something that brings me joy. And I hope it brought you joy too, didn’t it? This shared happiness is what makes art so special๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ.

  1. Good to create something out of nothing with just using your imagination.
Turns out that somebody back in 1100 AD had the same imagination and built the now UNESCOโ€™s World Heritage The Trulli in Alberobello in Italy. Nice job Beecasso. Keep it up. A cheery and bright picture to lift our spirits admist the turbulent world of war, air disasters and terroristsโ€™ mass killing.

  2. This is my thought; Painting is always very much something personalized to me….it is a reflection and also symbolized of perception of ones…like people said, there is always a 2 sides of a coin ๐Ÿ˜Š this piece is very nice , as it carries joy in spite of some journey in life that shadows it, but main highlight once u see this is piece is the beautiful colours of the houses that resemble joy to me ๐ŸŒˆ

  3. Turns out itโ€™s a village in your abstract mind! How clever to make squares, triangles and semi circles come together into a beautiful place.

  4. That was great…imagine starting with plain squares & triangles and ending with rows of houses !!! Really good and creative wintry look.

  5. Wow!
I was wondering where is this place & I even try to googled about it ๐Ÿ˜‚
    Your creativeness itโ€™s amazing ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
