23rd March 2026 Dr Lakshmi M Warrier
I would like to introduce a new artist to our website. She is Dr Lakshmi Warrier, the daughter of my former classmate, Dr Jayashree Madhavan. She dedicated 45 hours to painting these stunning macaws in acrylic on canvas, measuring 18×24 inches. Her artwork exemplifies her talent and is beautifully executed. I hope she will continue to contribute more to this website. She wrote the story about the macaws below and hopes everyone enjoys her art and her story. I enjoyed both very much and echo her sentiment about life.
Whispers of the Wild is more than just a painting of macaws. It is a quiet expression of freedom, captured in colour and stillness. I wanted it to feel alive—not loud, but present in a way that stays with you.
The wild doesn’t always roar. Sometimes, it exists in silence, in soft movements, in moments we almost miss. Through this piece, I tried to hold on to that feeling—the kind that reminds us to slow down in life, to feel nature and to remember the part of us that loves to enjoy each minute of our life.
