Hey there, as we approach the end of the year, I wanted to share this unique piece of art with you. It’s a coloured pencil work that beautifully captures a wintry scene, a process that’s both intricate and time-consuming.
Here, I’ve strived to capture the coldness of winter against the warmth of the home’s rooms. The trees and the garden are laden with thick snow, a serene and chilling sight. Yumi, our serene observer, gazes out into this wintry wonderland. Given her calm demeanour even during rainy days and thunderstorms, I often wonder what she would make of winter. But I’m more interested in what you, my dear audience, make of this scene. Your interpretations and thoughts are what bring this artwork to life.
While we may not have a traditional winter here in Malaysia, our rainy days with dark skies and little sunshine create a similar atmosphere. In the evenings, the streets become foggy, and the trees and buildings are adorned with Christmas decorations. Christmas songs fill the air, bringing a warm feeling despite the gloom. I’d love to hear about your experiences and feelings about this season. Please share in the comments below.
