I loved this lovely painting of a young ballerina by Jen. She looks excited about something or is it part of her performance. Jen has captured the transparency of her tutu and the ballerina skirt. Would like to add the following quote:
“A bird sitting on a tree

During Covid lockdown, there was little that one could do. So I told my daughter who is an architect that I would like to do some drawing and painting. What followed was delivery to my doorsteps, all the painting accessories, boxes of 72 colours water colour pencils, pouches of brushes of various sizes, books on botany painting, drawing papers etc, So I started downloading images on my ipad. The ballerina painting caught my eye and I started drawing. I brightened up the whole picture as I love brightly lit pictures rather than dim ones. Again this painting done during Covid kept my spirits up – I forgot all about the depression that lockdown caused. Drawing is therapeutic. One should draw to divert one’s attention from events that cause one depression.
