Hi everyone, I’m thrilled to share Angela Huam’s stunning acrylic painting of a mountain goat. Angela has genuinely captured the expression of this mountain goat, making it appear as though the goat is distracted by something. It’s a masterpiece!

This particular one is a billy or a male goat. The female is called a nanny. Billy has longer horns and a longer beard. The rings on the horn depict the age. This billy may be attracted to a nanny or another billy. Once a nanny is pregnant, she forms her own circle of nannies during her pregnancy and takes care of the kid. The billy moves on alone or with other billies until the next mating season. Whatever the reason, Angela has painted that expression well.
