HelloπŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ’ƒπŸ½. Don’t we all love flowers? I am thrilled to share this acrylic painting of daisies by Angela. Her portrayal of the white daisies against the impressionist-style background and the realistic depiction of the glass vase is truly inspiring. She has beautifully captured these elements on a large canvas.

My love for flowers is undeniable, but I must admit that painting them is a struggle. The intricate curls and shadows on the petals pose a significant challenge. Art, as I’ve come to understand, involves five types of shadows: form, shadows receiving bounced light, core, cast, and occlusion. This means that even a single flower petal can present a variety of shadows. However, replicating these multiple shadows in a painting is no easy task. But I remain optimistic that with consistent practice, I will eventually achieve my goalπŸ˜ŠπŸ™.
