I was born long, long ago, in a simpler time when childhood moved slowly, and life felt full of small wonders. In my early school years, I discovered that I had a natural gift for art. Drawing came easily, colours fascinated me, and creativity flowed naturally.
But as I grew older, life changed. I started working, got married, and became busy with responsibilities. Art, which had once been close to my heart, slowly disappeared from my daily life. For many years, my brushes stayed untouched. Everything shifted after my early retirement. With time finally back on my side, I rediscovered the joy of making things with my hands. I started crafting miniature aeroplanes, small guitars, and tall sailing ships. Later, I even built real guitars—copies of Rickenbacker and Höfner bass guitars—learning each step through YouTube tutorials.
Then the world changed between 2020 and 2022. In 2021, during those quiet and uncertain times, I picked up paint again. I began by painting on plywood with poster colours. To my surprise, the results were not bad at all. My old skills were still there, waiting for me.
I painted landscapes—waves crashing against rocks, peaceful beaches, and scenes filled with nature’s beauty. Eventually, I switched to acrylic paint and challenged myself to take on portraits. Portraits were not easy for me, but I believed in practice. I improved bit by bit, even if perfection was still far away.
After selling a few pieces, my interest grew even stronger. Today, I continue painting with dedication and joy. My goal is clear and simple: to paint realistic portraits and keep improving, learning, and enjoying every step of the journey.
