Hulunbuir Grasslands, Inner Mongolia

3rd August 2025 Lavender & Beena

It’s a special moment for me to share Lavendar’s stunning painting of the Hulunbuir Grassland in Inner Mongolia, China. This acrylic masterpiece captures a breathtaking sunset view.

The Hulunbuir Grassland, one of the four largest in China and bordering Russia, is more than just a natural marvel. Its verdant pastures, interspersed with numerous lakes, are home to 120 types of pasture grasses and a rich variety of wildlife. The nomadic lifestyles of the people, with their deep connections to Genghis Khan and the Mongol Empire, add a profound cultural dimension that is truly awe-inspiring.

As I reflect on Lavendar’s likely exciting trip to the Hulunbuir Grassland, I can’t help but be captivated by this beautiful sunset painting that depicts the cultural life of the nomads. I hope it brings you as much joy as it did for me.
