Joy or Curse

Hi, this acrylic painting is a classwork. The original painting was painted by Ferdinand du Puigaudeau, a French painter from Nantes, in 1864. I wrote about him from an earlier painting of a night scene, which you can check from www.1000storiestogether.fun.

This painting, with its field of flowers and two women working there, depicts joy and beauty. The field, full of flowers, is set against a bright, sunny day, with houses in the background. No wonder many of you wanted to jump into this field of flowers. Your comments about this painting have been a source of great pleasure for me, and I genuinely appreciate your insights.

However, as I pondered the women in the field, a question emerged: Are they as content as the painting implies? Do they take pleasure in their labour? The work in the field is demanding, and the specifics of their task elude me. If they harvest flowers for commerce, they might find fulfilment in their work. I’m keen to hear your reflections on this issue.
