Mid-Autumn Festival

17th September 2024 Angela & Beena

Today is the Mid-Autumn festival, which dates back over 3,000 years. It is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese lunisolar calendar. The Chinese believe the moon is at its brightest and fullest size, coinciding with the harvest festival.

Angela’s acrylic painting, a stunning portrayal of the Mid-Autumn festival, has truly captivated me. Her ability to encapsulate the essence of the festival in every stroke is genuinely admirable.

For those celebrating the festival, get ready to indulge in the delicious mooncakes and pair them with lots of Chinese tea. It’s a treat you won’t want to miss! 🤗🤗🤗

  1. I never knew about this festival. It’s intetesting to note how little one knows about different cultures and what a wealth of information waits to be discovered.

I am so glad I got so much from this tiny joyful painting..the festive nature has been captured so beautifully with the imagery and the colours.
