19th May 2024 Joy and Beena
Allow me to introduce you to the talented artist Joy, whose whimsical house painting I’m thrilled to share๐๐ฝ. Created with watercolours during the COVID lockdown, this is just one of the many beautiful pieces she’s produced. I’m particularly drawn to her soft colours, which give it a unique painterly effect.
She told me she got COVID during Christmas and could not partake in the festivities. The painting of her house depicts a sense of security, a place filled with joy and laughter. Most of us consider our homes to be a place that centres us. We should be very grateful๐ค๐ค.
In some instances, there were better places than home. We have read enough heartbreaking stories during the Covid lockdown๐. Hence, I would like to add the following quote:
For some people, a home might have a different address. Instead, home is wherever they feel most comfortable and cherished. As the Irish novelist Cecilia Ahern once said, “Home isn’t a place; it’s a feeling.”
I hope to hear your thoughts on the above painting and the concept of home๐๐.

That is a fabulous painting Joy and your memories that go with it. Looks like Covid launch you into discovering a hidden talent. Never knew the budding artist in you. Now emerging for all to see. Well done and congrats.
Thank you so much. I am grateful for the security that we hold on. In my friend’s writings, each of us live in a “different address. Instead, home is wherever they feel most comfortable and cherished. As the Irish novelist Cecilia Ahern once said, โHome isnโt a place; itโs a feeling.โ “.
What a lovely painting. I love and agree with the quote. Thanks for sharing both the painting and the quote.
Thank you for your kind words. Indeed, any painting that captures the eyes of the beholder completes all with a heart quote.
