17th February 2026 Wendy & Beena
Wendy never fails to capture my interest. This time, she painted an unforgettable scene of a family gathering for Chinese New Year, rendered in vibrant watercolours and infused with the elegance of traditional Chinese artistry. The sweeping forest and majestic mountains in the background evoke serenity, while the warm, inviting home and joyful family in the foreground celebrate the heart of togetherness.
I was fortunate that Wendy visited her friend in Kuching, which gave me the chance to meet her in person. Our conversation about painting was inspiring and full of laughter. Although I had previously known her only through her contributions to the website, meeting her felt like reconnecting with an old friend. Isn’t it remarkable how some connections feel instantly deep, while others, even after years, remain distant? I’d love to hear your reflections on the mysterious nature of friendship.
