Hello there. I painted this in acrylic. The difficulty of this painting was the perspectives of the window, the sun rays, the table, and the books on the tableπππ. When I did my initial sketch with a pencil, I got the perspective correctly.
However, once I began painting, my acrylic was thick, and with all the layering, I lost my view π€£π€£π€£. Someone wanted to know how I did the wall. It is a layering effect, beginning with dark background colours with burnt sienna and ultramarine blue. Then I dabbed the brush with additional colours and finally glazed with a light grey.
However, what I liked about this painting is the simple stuff in life. Don’t we all love the sun’s rays through the window? I love to wake up to a morning of sunshineππ½ππ½ππ½. It instantly perks me up. Of course, a cup of hot coffee or tea is sheer bliss. I love that quiet moment with the sun and my coffee. I can’t explain what that is. It is not like I am jubilant, but it grounds me to the reality that I can enjoy my cuppaπ€ππ. I don’t think beyond that moment. I don’t plan for the day. I hope that all will go well and I will see the sunsetππππππ. It’s like my painting, I lost the perspective, but I like the cup of coffee on that tableπππ

Thanks Sheila, just sharing my thoughts. In our present world where we are indundated with bleak news, am trying to let people know life is still fine.:)
I think you have the right perspective on life. Not over-thinking or over-planning. Enjoy lifeβs little moments and hope for the best.
Thanks for being a great friend Nyuk. You do keep me grounded:):)
My Favourite, with a cup of aromatic coffee sitting by the window enjoying the morning sun. Better still if there were fragrances from flowers and music from the birds!
Beena, I’m simply surprised by how you can view the mundane things in life with great beauty and insight πΉ
