17th August 2025 Mrs Nalini Rajappan & Beena
I am thrilled to introduce the versatile Mrs Nalini Rajappan and her enthralling art. As a masterful artist, she has honed her skills across various mediums, each a testament to her versatility and ingenuity. This piece, an African couple brought to life with the vibrant hues of acrylic paints, is a striking example of her ability to capture intricate details with this medium.
Here, we see a young couple, their hearts full of hope and love, beginning life’s long journey. Their eyes are locked in a gaze that says everything, a sign of their deep affection for each other. He shows a sense of care and protection. With their universal story of love and resilience, this couple could come from any part of the world, ready to face life’s challenges head-on.
Their attire displays a traditional costume. The girl wears neck rings, which indicate that they are from the Ndebele tribe of South Africa. These rings are worn by married women, given by their husbands, and are worn until death. The number of rings reflects the husband’s wealth. Padaung women from Burma also wear neck rings.
I trust you found her art as captivating as I did, and I am eager to hear your thoughts on it and the story it tells. Your comments are not only welcomed but also an essential part of the conversation we are having about this beautiful piece.
