24th September 2023 Mr.Mani and Beena
Hi guys. Another masterpiece by Mr. Mani Menon. I loved this one as it reminded me of Princess Diana’s Black Sheep jumper created by the company Warm and Wonderful. She wore that jumper soon after her engagement to convey that she was the odd one in the familyππ.
History will show that jumper had a deeper meaningπ. The company became famous, and that jumper eventually fetched $1.14M. So, Mr. Mani, keep this piece safe, as one can never predict the future valueππ.
Many of us are odd at some point in our lives. What is odd? When we don’t conform to the rest, we are called weird. Is it possible to always be the same as others in how we dress, talk, eat, and behave? Hence, being odd is not the same as being called the black sheep. Herein lies the big difference. I think being odd happens oftenπ. I have been odd from a young age but have learnt to adapt to fit in. Maybe that is a survival strategy. Being odd all the time can be tiringπ₯Ή. Let me know your thoughts on this topic, and thank you, Mr. Mani, for inspiring me to write this musingππ.

Being odd is tiring..but that is when we are authentic..otherwise we lose our identity trying to fit in.
When we lose our identity we become unhappy..and the society that makes one “fit in” will be constantly trying to make one conform in various situations….which is exhausting and emotionally debilitating.
So is it better to be authentic and find it difficult..or lose our identity and be unhappy, become depressed even??
When we are authentic and determined in our decision to be who we are.. even if it is the “odd one” ..then we make it difficult for others who want us to conform and soon they lose the energy to make us conform..we become stronger from within!!
So let us choose wisely.
Yes there is no doubt in a safe environment where everything is based on fairness, one doesnt have to fit in at all. Not everyone gets that oppurtunities. I have seen the unfairness in life just because of being different.
Glad to hear your point of view. Life is full of diversity and surprises. Let the oddities win the day in this diverse worldπππ
Being odd is special, fitting in is tiring. Is just like being normal, but why we should follow the mainstream if we can create greatness from our weirdness π
