28th July 2025 Wendy & Beena
Wendy has provided a unique and captivating view of the Yellow River in China. The water appears to be in constant motion, with waves so realistic that one might feel at risk of falling in.
In Chinese history, the Yellow River is not just a river but the birthplace of Chinese civilisation. It is the second longest river in China and the sixth longest in the world. Flooding from the river has caused significant devastation, resulting in loss of lives and property. The name Yellow River comes from the deposition of loess. The river became muddy between 367 BC and 165 AD and was named Yellow River at the end of the Tang dynasty.
Wendy, your painting wonderfully captures the energy of the Yellow River. It must have been a challenging task, but your unique style of painting shines through, and you’ve done a fabulous job. Thank you, Wendy, for your exceptional work.

Thanks Dr Beena for your positive encouragement. Indeed I love drawing river, waves and waterfall though they are big challenge to me😄
Wendy is a perfectionist of sorts in this challenge every drop of that turbulent yellow river is clearly visible Congrats Wendy and Beena
