Hello guysπππ. Allan wrote the first story about my painting of Bruges on our website (please check it out) in early 2020 during the pandemic. Recently, he requested some of my work, and this was one of them. But when I looked at that version, I was aghastπ€―π€―. How can I give him that artwork?
So I decided to paint once more. Once again, I needed help with that building in the foreground. The architecture of the buildings is Gothic, with a crowstepped gable with terracotta roof tiles. Getting the perspective correct for those steps was a challenge for meπ°π°.
I was painting this from a photo which had much activity. I included the cyclists, two in the foreground and one at the extreme left, and my three gals (Zara, Mika and Yumi). There is a happy couple who are madly in loveπ. The couple who are seated appears to be engaged in some deep conversation. The two cyclists in the foreground seem to enjoy the ride, whilst the younger boy in the background is rushing home, maybe for dinner. My three gals are oblivious to the people around them and playing a gameπ€£π€£π€£.
What amazed me was myself. I realised how much my art has evolved. I am happy that I persevered with my art and, more importantly, how Allan found the stories to write about my art. Thanks, Allan. I have something to paint and write weeklyππ. In addition, the website has many contributors who have posted their work. Please continue to support and post your workπππ.
