26th April 2026 Mr Nandakumar & Beena
As I embark on the final stretch towards my goal of 1000 stories, I am proud to feature a striking digital painting by Mr. Nandakumar, a prolific contributor whose bold, imaginative art has enriched this website time and again.
This vibrant, digitally rendered abstract painting captures the spirit and movement of an Indian dancer. While digital art is not my area of expertise, I deeply admire Mr. Nandakumar’s fearless approach to creativity—he embraces every medium with unwavering passion, and for that, he has my genuine respect.
Painting is a journey that intimidates many. Currently, I am encouraging a friend to move beyond his impressive pencil sketches. Yet, held back by fear of judgment, he remains in his comfort zone. I’ve told him he has the talent to explore painting—watercolour, acrylic, or any medium he chooses. Still, the hesitation persists, a barrier more powerful than any technical challenge.
Here, I see a vivid contrast: one artist who bravely embraces new challenges and another held back by the fear of criticism. Is the prospect of judgment truly so powerful? When I started sharing my own playful paintings, I too was warned against exposing myself to critique. Yet, by trusting my instincts, I found encouragement that far outweighed criticism. What are your thoughts on these contrasting responses to creative risk?
