I painted this blue vase with yellow flowers in acrylic. Do you know the colour blue, besides the colour for the sky and the sea, has other virtues?

It is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, inspiration, and sensitivity. Blue also represents depth, trust, loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, stability, faith, and intelligence.

Blue creates tranquillity; hence, chosen as a colour for bedrooms, so it is calm and peaceful.

There are also cultural differences for blue. In Iran, blue is the colour for mourning, while in the West, something blue at weddings denotes love.

Dark blue signifies knowledge, power, integrity, and seriousness. Hence it is a colour that most corporate companies use. Police uniforms are often blue. 

Of course, when I painted my blue vase, I had none of the above thoughts😂😂😂😂😂😂. Have a great week ahead.
