7th July 2023 Beena
Hello there. I had no energy to write even though I knew what to write. Does that happen to youπ€π€π€? When I painted that place in white with a blue sea as the background, I was unsure how it would turn out. It is a watercolour painting.
I received a gift of poster colours from Francis recently. However, when I tried to paint, it was terribleπ°π°π°. I was desperate as I had no painting for my Friday greeting. Now you may wonder about this Friday greeting and why I do it. A close friend who wishes to remain anonymous used to post something on Fridays a couple of years ago. When I began painting during the pandemic, I decided to post whatever I had painted as my Friday greeting. It began with a few friends; now I send it to 150 friendsπππ. I added new ones as I went along, so it is evolving.
I had many comments on that simple painting of white buildings with a blue sea and lots of subtle shadows. So even though I thought it would be an easy painting, it was not that easyπππ. But I loved your comments about the holiday places that you went to. Many identified it as Santorini in Italy, and Agnes identified it as Benidorm in Spain. I have not been to any of these places. I saw this on Pinterest and painted it. However, I noticed that the greetings bring in memories, usually happy ones, and that makes my dayππ½ππ½ππ½.
I enjoy sending the Friday greetings and hope the recipient feels the same. Some told me they look forward to the Friday greetings as they are unsure what to expectπ€π€π€. But for me, it’s about the inspiration to paint a subjectπ€―π€―. Thank you, guys, for being there for me to post every Fridayπππππ.

I have come to rely on your Friday paintings to set my week right. Thank you Beena. I admire your steadfastness
Haha Vimla, you are just like some of my friends who will ask me ” is it Friday already?””
I look forward to your Friday posting. Today, the painting of the semi translucent mermaid is an extension of imagination of this mystical creature.π
Thanks Agnes
I thrive on the comments to write my stories.

Beena, looking forward eagerly to Fridays and enjoying your artistic works.
Now I realise there’s a story behind each of these.
May you continue to engage us with your art and words.
