Happy New Year💃🏽💃🏽, I hope 2023 will be better for all! I wanted to paint a New Year greeting from me and my gals. But I was struggling with what I could paint as I was unsure of my skill🙄🤨🤔. Finally, I decided to paint fireworks with us watching it😊.

To create those fireworks, I used masking fluid to retain the white colour of the paper. Masking fluid is tricky to use, and I have never been good at it😤😢. Nevertheless, I think it turned out better, not perfect. Last year, for my New Year greeting, I painted Zara and Mika watching the fireworks. This year, I was brave enough to include all of us, including Yumi, the new puppy I got after Mika passed on.

Life in 2022 was a real challenge. Losing Mika was my biggest challenge. Now that I have Yumi, she has been so different from Zara and Mika in obedience training😒😒🐶. But I know, just like the beauty we see in fireworks, I am aware that for every firework we see, many don’t light up the sky😆. We are only mindful of successes, not the failures that resulted in one win 😎😎.

Last year, my most significant gift was making some meaningful friendships. To them, I say, Thank you🙏🙏🙏. You kept my sanity. I want to thank everyone for encouraging me in my painting journey, as many commented that I had made progress💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽.

One of my friends thought that I was watching the firework display with my gals. The truth is that dogs never like fireworks, which are often associated with loud sounds😒😒🐶. So, my depiction of the New Year is inaccurate🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️. However, it is my dream, and if we have life in us, we never stop dreaming🤩🤩. On that note, I wish everyone a Happy New Year and thank everyone who contributed to this website🙏🙏😊😊.
