If only the Tree could talk

11th February 2023 Kala and Beena

Hello everyone😊, I have been so busy to pen my thoughts for a while. However, this painting by Kala is so memorable that I can’t wait to put my thoughts down.

She has painted this on Procreate, and her memory of that tree is vivid. This temple is unique as it is on top of a hill and with a great view of the South China Sea. The Bako National Park is close to this temple and a great tourist destination. We used to bike there and return every Sunday for many years, about 50 kilometres. One of the exciting features of this stop was drinking fresh coconut juice from the nearby seafood restaurant. We would then climb those steep steps to the temple, pray and sit under that tree to see the never-ending view.

Such moments are to be cherished. When I was there with Kala, we reminisced over our past and felt blessed to be such good friends. We live far away from each other. But when we meet, it is like we never left. Have you got that feeling with friends? I love that feeling as it meant that friend left an imprint on me😍. Never let go of such friends and connect with them regularly.

I told Kala that if that tree could talk, we could listen to 1000 storiesπŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†. I hope dear readers stay tuned to this website as we post our thoughts, stories, poems and much moreπŸ™πŸ˜Š.

  1. Wow such a beautiful and complicated forever green tree.
Sitting on the bench near the tree and looking towards the South China Sea would make you feel at peace.
    Love your story.

  2. What a heart warming story πŸ’•
A good friend is not easy to come by and you are so blessed to have one πŸ™πŸ˜Š
The beautiful tree would rather be to stand tall listened to both of you chattering and amused by the interesting conversation . The tree would think β€œmmmh… enchanting stories β€œπŸ§ 😁😁

  3. Nothing like Nature to bring amazing peace and calm..trees..ocean..

@Kalapohl as always has captured the beauty and serenity of the space..I can feel myself sitting there on that bench..enjoying the sounds of the soft waves splashing on the shore and hear the gentle rustle of the leaves as the cool breeze passes through them.

So blessed to have you both dear Kala and Beena in my forever friends circle.. no matter the distance ..β™₯️β™₯️
