Hello everyone😊😊😊. I hope everyone is well. When I painted this sunrise, it did cross my mind, will it look like sunrise or sunset? I painted this in watercolour, trying to create a fiery sky. I drew the Sun with a pencil but forgot to rub it off before I applied the paint🤣🤣🤣. I used a rigger brush for the reeds in the foreground to create those fine lines. I posted it as my Friday greeting: “Happy Friday. Rise and shine”.
When I read that many interpreted my painting as sunset, it set me thinking. If the sky is clear, the colours will be brilliant and muted when the atmosphere is thicker. More molecules will scatter the blue and violet, allowing warm colours like red, orange, and yellow to continue. Hence sunsets are often yellow, red and orange.
But I love sunsets more than sunrise. I could never fathom that😒🤔🤔. So when Theresa replied with why I like sunsets, I thought I would share that here😊. Sunset denotes the end of that day. Whatever may have happened, it is time to wind down. Sunrise is the reverse. It means that you have to face the day and solve issues🤨🤨.
Which part of Sun do you like? Please share your comments, as I would love to read other interpretations🙏😍.
