4th June 2025 Beena
Today, we celebrate a significant milestone-our 600th story. In just five months, we have achieved this remarkable feat, which is a testament to the dedication and talent of our contributing artists. To commemorate this success, I present the cross-stitch portrait by Matthew George.
When Allan and I embarked on this journey of story writing, we could only dream of reaching this point. We owe a debt of gratitude to Mr Thomas Sim, whose creation of this website has provided a platform for many to share their art and their stories.
I would like to acknowledge all the artists who have made this possible. Our young contributors are Hazel, Miya, Wynn Ong, Maya, Tia, Amey, Isaiah, Reia, Vaishanavi, Elly, Joe, Madeline, Ashley, and Abigail Ting.
The adult contributors are: Kala, Nandakumar, Mani, Wendy, Joy, Hwai Jen, Angela Huam, Mathew George, Susan Thomas, Lavendar, Annie Teo, Ann Su, Angela CSF, Marilys Corbex, Terry, Polly Edward, Madam Lim, Lillian Goh, Elizabeth Tang, Kheng, Tan Poh Tin, Shobha Panicker, Suchitra Narayan, Srimathii, Vineetha, Neelum, Vivian Tan, Juny, Yen Nyuk, Ai Siok, Guence, Michelle Chai, and Vivian Tan.
I wish to extend my heartfelt thanks to Elizabeth Tang, whose guidance has been instrumental in my journey towards watercolour painting. I also want to express my gratitude to the many individuals (Riccardo, Tang, Allan, Ittymani, Melvin, Hubert, Shobha, Elizabeth, Stefanie) who have contributed the photos that have inspired my work.
I thank the two art teachers, Stella and Jia Yang, for guiding me to become a better artist. While preparing to write today’s story, I browsed through all the paintings I have created. I can observe the evolution of my art style over the years.
It is your contributions and comments that have truly made this project what it is today. Since we began this website in January 2021, your involvement has been invaluable. Thank you all.

Congrats! Turning an idea into a concept and then acting on it to create something is a feat few transcend
More importantly to be consistent and keep at it learning, adapting and developing as it unfolds into the public sphere is another milestone.
What next May I ask ?
One step at a time before I reach 1000 stories. It will take time, but its worth a wait. Thanks for your support as always.
What a massive achievement! Well done you all!
Thanks for all the photos;)
Thank you for your huge collection of photos. That has inspired me to keep painting.
