The Bee

21st May 2024

Today, I would like to introduce Madeline Leong, a teenager who drew this bee with a pencil. She created this 3D image of the bee😊. She is new to my art class, and I am very impressed with her drawings. I am puzzled why we are often asked to draw the bee in the art class🤔.

Though we may have seen the bee buzzing around in our garden, do we know its anatomy? Are you aware that a bee has five eyes and six legs? The male is called a drone; all the other bees in the hive are worker bees except the queen, who lays about two thousand eggs daily. A bee would die if it lost its stinger😔. There are many types of bees; honeybees, bumblebees, and stingless bees live socially in colonies. Others, like masons, carpenters, leafcutters and sweat bees, live in isolation. Bees are found where there are plants and pollination.

In the spiritual context, the bee symbolises rejuvenation, divinity and the natural world’s mysteries🫠. I hope you enjoyed the drawing and the information on bees😊😊.

  3. Hi Madeline

I have to agree with the comments that you have received for your drawing of the Bee. At such a young age, you have shown great talent. I hope that you continue to draw and paint to reach wherever you wish to go. Hope to see more of your art here:).
