17th June 2025 Mr Mani & Beena
Once more, Mr Mani crafted this splendid tree adorned with vibrant leaves. This artwork is done in pen and ink.
The tree, with its aged markings on the trunk, serves as a symbol of the potential for productivity in old age. Despite its years, it is laden with a profusion of leaves, a sight that reflects our ageing population. Many of us, like this tree, continue to thrive and contribute, even as we grow older. It’s a stark contrast to the misconception I held in my youth, that age equates to frailty.
Today, armed with extensive research, we understand that our activity and independence are not solely determined by the passage of time. Instead, they are influenced by our choices – regular exercise, a balanced diet, social interactions, and an open mind amidst the chaos of the world.
Each day, we grow older, but with these tools, we can maintain our vitality. We may encounter challenges to our physical well-being, but we have the power to address them and move forward. Let us strive to be as vibrant as Mani’s tree. 🤗🤗💃🏽💃🏽

That’s a beautiful comparison.
A tree, with its roots firmly anchored
Can weather the worst tempest.
And, can also provide badly needed shelter
For the weary traveller
