Reflections

3rd March 2025 Beena

Hello, everyone. When I shared my painting last Friday, I was overwhelmed by the insightful comments about reflections. I painted that bird using a palette knife with acrylic paints, a process I undertook independently and found satisfaction in.

I used a photo from Pinterest as a reference but added my own unique elements, like the background and the tail. Interestingly, my regular critic was disappointed with the tail, a perspective I found valuable. I agreed with him and made the necessary corrections, which I shared on the website. I also added a definition to the wing as suggested by Kishunti. Fueled by your feedback, this learning process has been an integral part of my artistic journey🫡.

Many of you had different opinions about reflections, and that was fantastic. I learned immensely from the posts. One comment was about “What is the world coming to?” The message was relevant to all of us. That is the constant recurring thought in my mind. One of my friends always advises me not to harp on that thought as it would make me miserable. Instead, I focus on other stuff that takes my mind off from the going on in this world. Palette knife painting helped me to take my mind off the misery in this world. Please share what you do to keep your mind off any misery🤗🤗.
