Hello everyone, I painted this Mother whale and her baby a while ago. I could not write anything. However, I thought about this painting this morning and need to pen my musingsπ€£π€£. Isn’t that a lot of arroganceπ¨π¨.
The painting is a watercolour artwork. I planned to paint a whale. However, I came across this tutorial on a mother whale and her baby unexpectantly. I wanted to paint this as it was challenging. Many aspects of this painting were challenging; both are beneath the water’s surface and their bodies’ roundness. Not sure how much I have capturedπ€π€π.
Nevertheless, I realized life will always be challenging. We can plan to the dot, then something happens unexpectantly and throws everything into the airπ¨π¨ππ. Some events are pleasant, and some are not. I am trying to visualize this maiden voyage for this baby whale. Was it exciting or fearful? Did the mother plan this trip, or was it a spur-of-the-moment decision? Did the baby enjoy the ride? Too many questions and I have no answersπππ.
Sometimes it is wise not to have too many questions. Just go with the flow and experience the unexpectedness of lifeπππ.

Interesting description.
Life is full of unexpectedness, as a friend of mine always say ” what will be, will be”.
When we were young we love that song with little realization of the deeper meaning. We love the way they song sounded and many of us sang it with happiness.π π π
Beautifully expressed in image and writing Beena.
Both mother and baby look fearful..but determined to face the challenges as they plough through the mysterious oceanπ
Thanks Suchi, I am always very apprehensive to paint. It takes me a loner time to make a decision before I plunge into it. I wonder if the Mother whale took as long as I didπ
Hi Beena, I agree with what you wrote in the last paragraph. Just enjoy life without analysing too much.
That is always the simplistic way to look at life when there is too much to comprehend. Seriously, we can’t always do that. Sometimes, we do need to think through stuff before we decideπ. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I do that when I am overwhelmed and can’t find a solution.
Love the look in their eyes. The mum displays concern and care whereas the baby displays total trust. So lovely of you to capture this in your painting. Guess itβs just a natural expression in going with the flow of life as you mentioned.
Hi Vasanthi, Glad to hear from you. It has been awhile. Oh I am really happy that you can see those emotions in my painting of mother and baby whale. Yes, I suppose it is the sheer innocence of a baby that trust is all that they would know.
