23rd April 2026 Kala & Beena
When I first glimpsed the vibrant, boldly coloured barn in Kala’s painting at 3 am, I felt an irresistible urge to capture my thoughts. Painted in acrylic, her work draws the eye directly to the barn—a subject that so often fades into the background, overlooked and unappreciated. Yet through her creative vision, Kala transforms the barn into a powerful focal point, inviting us to see beauty where we rarely look.
Since I began painting, my world has grown richer in detail. Now I find myself captivated by the shifting shadows of trees and buildings, the unexpected bursts of colour from roadside flowers, the drama of skies at dawn and dusk, ever-changing cloud formations, and the lively parade of birds that visit my garden. Art has opened my eyes to the extraordinary moments tucked away in everyday life.
When we gather around a table, the surface reveals only the barest hint of who we truly are. Yet with careful attention, subtle expressions betray hidden feelings—boredom, sadness, disinterest—emotions that slip through the cracks in our facades. Curiously, happiness stands apart: it refuses to be concealed, radiating outward and inviting others in. I would love to hear your thoughts on these quiet revelations.
