Nature Series 1

Recently, I have been sharing paintings that celebrate the beauty of nature. These works have resonated with many viewers, highlighting how art inspired by nature evokes universal emotions. Across the world, natural scenes offer a sense of peace—whether it’s a village with pastel-coloured houses and winding paths lined with flowers and trees, a sunny morning overlooking majestic mountains and a flowing river, or a tranquil view from a window with sheer curtains dancing in the breeze. Through these paintings, I aim to capture moments of serenity and connection that everyone can relate to.
For the village scene, I used gouache, while the other two paintings were created with acrylics. Each piece presents its own challenges, but mastering perspective—especially in the village composition—was essential. Even small details, like the chimneys, required careful thought to bring the scene to life.
As we grow older, it becomes even more important to challenge our minds with new experiences each week to keep our memories sharp. Mark Twain once said, “A man who does not read has no advantage over the man who cannot read.” In that spirit, I encourage you to embrace new or difficult tasks—whether it’s learning a new skill, exploring a creative pursuit, or simply stepping outside your comfort zone. Taking responsibility for our mental well-being is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves.
