I’m excited to share this striking bald eagle painting by Freddie. Using acrylics, Freddie masterfully layered paint to create the bird’s dense, textured plumage. The intensity in the eagle’s predator gaze is powerfully captured, making the artwork truly come alive.
The bald eagle, America’s national bird, builds the largest nest of any bird species in North America. Its iconic white head, rich brown feathers, and sharp yellow beak make it instantly recognizable. As an opportunistic hunter, the eagle thrives near lakes and rivers, feeding primarily on fish.
Once on the brink of extinction, the bald eagle’s comeback is a powerful reminder of what determined conservation can achieve. Yet, despite this success, we too often take the wonders of nature for granted. In today’s world, short-sighted decisions and unchecked greed threaten the delicate balance we’ve fought to protect. Will we choose to value what we have—or let it slip away?
