Hello, I have posted another sketch by my friend Jen, a true artist. This sketch is the view from her window, a beautiful portrayal of her surroundings. She was particularly interested in drawing those houses with red roofs, a unique touch to her art. She can see Orchard Road, a bustling part of Singapore from her window.
I could understand why she wanted to draw a house with a red roof. Everything in that part of Singapore is just high-rise buildings. Such buildings lack warmth and appear intimidating, whereas a home has character based on its architecture and the surrounding plants and trees. Hence, the red-roof house could be a visual treat in that concrete jungle, especially during those days of lockdown.
I love this style of drawing buildings and I’m eager to hear what others think about life in a city. Your thoughts are always welcome 🤗🤗🤗

A very beautiful depiction of “homes”.. that meld with the surrounding Nature..bringing a calming sensation as one peers out of one’s window..truly different from seeing a bunch of high rise steel and glass structures
