I am so excited to talk about Raaz. Raaz is a Chi Va Va and Maltese mixed breed. He belongs to my good friend Gayathri, who lives in Melbourne, Australia. We are dog lovers and treat our dogs as part of our family. I call myself “mummy” to my girls.
Painting Raaz, my first dog portrait in acrylic, was a joyous experience. His fur, with its myriad tones, presented a delightful challenge. The play of light on his fur added another layer of complexity. I applied multiple layers of paint, with each stroke bringing me closer to capturing his essence. The forgiving nature of acrylic allowed me to correct any mistakes, making the process even more enjoyable.
According to Gayathri, Raaz has a gentle demeanour and is very lovable. I hope I captured those aspects in my painting. I would love to hear your thoughts on Raaz, and if you have any pets or stories, please feel free to share. Let’s celebrate our furry friends together!🐶🐶🐶
