Today marks the vibrant celebration of Chinese New Year, ushering in the Year of the Fire Horse—a symbol of passion and boldness. Last Friday, I shared my watercolour painting of a horse, which drew a lively response from viewers. While most praised the work, one keen eye spotted some proportional inaccuracies. I wholeheartedly agree; capturing a horse’s form in watercolour proved challenging. Nevertheless, I persevered, determined to create a piece that reflects both my aspirations and my growth as an artist.
Inspired by the feedback and encouragement, I am eager to explore painting more horses. Some have said a white horse is every girl’s dream, and I am motivated to capture that dream on canvas. With each attempt, I aim to refine my technique and push my creative boundaries.
