Hello everyone. I am excited to share a series of Kala’s acrylic-on-canvas paintings, each radiating tranquillity. Her works invite viewers to pause, reflect, and experience a sense of calm that is increasingly rare in our busy world.

Lately, I find myself yearning for tranquillity—it has become a kind of positive addiction. While “addiction” often carries negative connotations, I want to reframe it as a term for habits that uplift and inspire. In 1976, William Glasser explored this idea in his book Positive Addiction, encouraging us to recognise the benefits of nurturing healthy, enriching pursuits.

Positive addiction centers on activities that not only nurture our own well-being, but also ripple out to benefit others. Whether through exercise, creative expression, meditation, or acts of kindness, these habits foster a more compassionate, productive, and connected community.

So why don’t we hear more about positive addiction? I’d love to hear your reflections, stories, or experiences of habits that have brought you and those around you greater peace and meaning.
