11th June 2026 Mr Nandakumar & Beena
Once again, Mr Nandakumar has inspired me with his striking abstract art on glass. The bold black ink markings on the front and vibrant acrylic paint colours on the back bring the Kathakali dancer to life, showcasing his innovative technique. His message resonates deeply: art is a profound teacher. Through art, he continually explores new methods that demand focus and growth. I look forward to sharing his abstract works as a series.
As I’ve often shared in my stories, focused work is essential for sustaining brain health. This is why practices like meditation are so powerful: they lower cortisol levels, reduce stress, and increase grey matter in the brain. In doing so, they protect areas vulnerable to Alzheimer’s disease and help prevent cognitive decline by sharpening our attention.
Learning something new is a powerful way to boost attention and keep the mind agile. Our brains thrive on stimulation and challenge, yet it’s easy to settle into comfort zones that do little to prevent cognitive decline. Mr Nandakumar’s example reminds us: constantly challenge yourself, embrace new experiences, and watch your mind flourish.
