10th October 2024 Jen & Beena
I was captivated by Jen’s watercolour painting. She captured this scene at Labrador Park, where a solitary figure sat on a bench, gazing into the distance. Jen was drawn to this man, as she often pondered the reasons behind people’s solitude. She wondered about his story, his relationships, and his feelings. With its delicate strokes and subtle hues, this painting beautifully encapsulates the theme of loneliness and societal perceptions of solitude.
It’s an often overlooked question: Why do we find it so intriguing when we see someone alone? The fascination with a solitary figure often overshadows our understanding of loneliness. In my experience, I’ve seen many people feel lonely even when surrounded by their spouse, children, or closest friend. This societal misconception can be a significant barrier to seeking help. We often assume that family support is the most crucial, but perhaps that’s a myth.
I would love to read your thoughts about my interpretation of Jen’s painting. For all our guesses, maybe he took a break from what he was doing to enjoy a beautiful Sunday morning at the park. Maybe, it was part of his ritual on a Sunday morning😆😆😆.

Beena, I love to believe that he was just taking a nice ‘Me Time’ break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Everyone needs a quiet ‘Me Time’ away from the madding crowd, don’t you agree ?
Yes I love ” me time”. Its a time to think of nothing, but being in the present.
Hope that was what he did. :):):)
