Hanging Lobster Claw Heliconia

Hello everyone, I am posting “The Heliconia”, painted by Angela using poster colours. I love the vibrant colours that she used for this beautiful plant. She must have layered the colours multiple times to get those vibrant coloursπŸ˜‚. I find poster colours challenging as blending is not as easy as watercolour. This one is the Hanging Lobster Claw Heliconia.

Heliconia is a family of two hundred different species. It is a perennial plant that proliferates in tropical places. Hummingbirds are attracted to these plants and help with pollination. The Hanging Lobster Claw is the National Flower of Bolivia with a combination of pink, yellow and green colours.

I hope you enjoyed the painting as much as I didπŸ˜ŠπŸ™.
