Nature Series 4

28th June 2026 Angela & Beena

I’m excited to share two new acrylic paintings by Angela that powerfully celebrate the beauty of nature. The first painting captures the majestic presence of Mount Fuji, Japan’s most iconic stratovolcano, whose last eruption was in 1707-1708. The second painting bursts with the vivid colors of rhododendrons blooming in a tranquil garden in Yokoyama, Japan.
Japan is renowned for its breathtaking scenery, drawing visitors from every corner of the globe. The Sakura season, when cherry blossoms blanket the country in delicate pink, is especially magical. Mount Fuji, a symbol of Japan, is a must-see for travelers. However, the sheer volume of tourists has prompted authorities to introduce new restrictions on the number of hikers allowed on most trails, starting July 2026, to preserve the mountain’s natural beauty.
Personally, I’ve found that visiting iconic landmarks can sometimes be less rewarding than expected, often because of overwhelming crowds or unpredictable weather. I recall seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time on a bitterly cold day, longing only for warmth and hot soup. My experience at the Sphinx in Egypt felt similar—exciting in theory, but challenging in reality. These moments led me to seek out quieter, more authentic experiences: exploring local markets, strolling through residential neighborhoods, or relaxing in a peaceful park. These simple encounters, away from the crowds, have given me a deeper appreciation for each place I visit. Have you ever felt the same?
